The Council on Cardiovascular Imaging is the latest council to be organized by the PHA. It was formed in 2012 and set out this general objective:
"The Council on Cardiovascular Imaging exists for the purpose of education physicians on the various roles of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Computed Tomography and Nuclear Imaging modalities in the diagnosis and management of Cardiovascular disease. It aims to do so by supporting training, promoting research and conducting lectures."
