67% hurdle 2013 SBAC examinations
The Specialty Board of Adult Cardiology announces that a total of 59 out of 87 examinees (67%) passed the adult cardiology specialty board written and practical examinations held on April 20, 2013 at the Philippine Heart Center.
Vascular case presentation contest
 The Philippine Heart Association Council on Stroke and Peripheral Vascular Diseases and the  Continuing Education Program Committee of the Philippine Society of Vascular Medicine will be holding a VASCULAR CASE PRESENTATION CONTEST on December 4, 2012 (Tuesday), 9:00 am, at the Therapharma Conference Room, Bonaventure Plaza, Greenhills.

Pease also indicate whether the abstract is eligible for consideration for the “Young Investigator Award” (YIA).  Abstract without any indication would not be considered for YIA. Three major conditions to be fulfilled for Y.I.A. considerations are:
1. The principal author must be below 40 years old at end of 2012; and
2. The work must be done locally, with the principal author playing a major role in the study.
3. The paper must not have been previously published or accepted for publication in any form, including electronic publication, at the time of submission
The principal authors of the 6 best abstracts will be selected for the Young Investigators’ Award Final Presentation.
The closing date of abstract submission is on the 15th December 2012.  Please note that late entries may not be considered nor printed in the abstract handbook
